Whenever i play a teacher at my skool, in a game sometimes i get angry and iunno what types of advice to control it cuz sometimes my smash or backhand doesn't make it over or it hits out and i hate it and im not a angry type person. what i do when im feeling angry is slowly breath in threw by nose and out threw my mouth and count to 5, i see lots of people hiting thereselfs with the racquet and i still dont get it, it just gets u angryer. after i do my big breaths and count to 5 i look at my oponent and just think positive thoughts...also theres one thing we all have to realize is that someone has to win in badminton, there are no ties, so someone has to loose and if its you, that means the other person deserved to win. use your loses at insperation to get better, nothing feels better then beating the person who beat u the week befor

I never get angry. Why? Because for me BAD is just a fun game.
If my partner or I really struggle (like yesterday, I set my partner up so many times and he hit the weak return into the net), the worst you'll hear me say is "Danggit!"
So, when you are angry or frustrated, just say, "Danggit!"

hhahah`` i always get all pissed off in games`` lol..but i tend to work harder to get all the shots when im mad..
it gives me the motivation to move faster n' stare at the bird whereever it goes.
So, whenever i play mix/doubles...my partner would say...calm down..but....i tend not to listen since i know i will do better in this madness`

Here is what I found throughout my competitive experience: The mind is a powerful thing. You always have the choice to be upset at a certain circumstance or look at the positive and try to "fight back". You have the ability to control that outcome. For example, if you let that circumstance let you down, you will certainly be upset. Some people may become violent. However, if you chug a bad circumstance as another experience and looking forward to improve for the next time, you will certainly not be upset. You may even think of ways on improving and not repeat that bad experience. Work on a weakness until it is no longer a weakness!
I will not say that it is easy to control your emotions. Actually to be good at something takes a lot of work, it is much easier to be "bad" at something.

Laugh all you want, but if I'm playing badly and becoming on the verge of frustration, I convince myself that I've achieved badminton nirvana. I'm the Buddha of badminton. Or, I've freed my mind, a la Matrix. That way, nothing can beat me. And quite often, when I'm in that mindset, nothing can.

Not me, dude... I am not a model of restraint. Did the incredible hulk thingie and smash my racquets to bits (that's right, racquets). Well, I have done enough of those to warrant my prolific baddy spending spree. Hmmm... now that I think of it... who do I know is going back to Asia ?

I would consider myself as someone with........absolute self control of my emotions lol
I always stay calm and concentrate on controling my breathing....if i do something that can possibly make me angry......I stop, think and breath and find a solution to stop this 'thing' making me mad.
When you are angry your brain becomes irrational in thought and makes things worse for you and all the better for your opponent! Making you more angry.
Some may disagree but most time someone murders, brutally assaults someone they are in a 'Angry' state of mind, and are temporarily 'irrational and insane' incapable of clear focused thought.
I tend to laugh it off if someone is Whipping my butt with a certain shot or tactic, I laugh because, I know that if I remain happy, calm and above all 'in a state where i can think clearly' I am more likely to think of a counter attack and comeback to win. It happens all the time.
Oh and this is really important!......I was not always like this.....I mentally trained myself over many years........when I was a junior I use to go nuts, swear, hit myself with the racket etc........put effort into controling your emotions during games.........and don't slip.......make a comitment to yourself to not let it happen......never! Over time you slowly be more in control of yourself!
I want you to ask yourself: Are you in control of your emotions or are your emotions in control of you?
And which would you prefer?

When I miss and get angry, I just rub the strings on my head as if I'm scratching it and going 'wtf just happened'. Then breathe slowly.

I think the easiest way,is that EVERYONE messes up, even the pros. Mistake is a mistake, win back the point.
