Thread: Power Difference
03-25-2006, 02:26 PM #1
Just curious. Is there a major power difference between a regular smash and a jump smash? I am aware of the jump smash having a better angle towards the ground, but is there really a power difference?
If there is, can you tell me what makes a jump smash more powerful than a regular smash? Because all I know about a jump smash is that it gives a better angle.
Thanks a lot

well normal smashing gains power with speed, snap and how much weight you put in it. So If you juimp smash, you can add alot more weight and increase you power

there shouldn't be any difference in term of power if you hold every factor constant between the two, except of course the jump. what u gain is the angle in which jump smash has the upper hand

My jump smash has more power than my normal smash.
Although the extra energy and longer recovery time needed i only jump smash..............to really put it away!
I never jump smash from the baseline.
