I think Lilyana's father is not chinese, but from north sumatera. Her nickname is Butet, and her last name is Natsir. Those name is not Indo-chinese name, like WIjaya, SANtoso, haLIM...
Her mother is chinese descent if i am not wrong (i think i ever read this in bola), But maybe her mother is mix race, chinese-manado.
People from Toraja, Central Sulawesi and North Sulawesi bit more like chinese.

It is true that many indonesian tribe, especially of certain part of sulawesi, sumatra and kalimantan have a very simillar characteristic to the chinese(yellow skin, small eyes). I think the only reason these characteristic are closely associated to chinese people is because chinese are eveywhere, way outnumbering other ethnic with those characteristic. There's no way in my hometown to know whether a person with those characteristic is chinese or not without asking. and i find asking a person if he is chinese or not is rather rude, just like what i feel everytime a person asking me what ethnicity i am. So if you think you can identify a person ethnicity only based on physical appearance, you must have been living in a box.
About liliana, i think may be she is called butet because of her tomboyish attitude. butet is how batak people calls their female children and batak people are closely associated with macho things(large and loud voice, strong jaw).
