Have u tried out the Cab 20 tour. It is really agood racket. U might like it. Cab 20 is an offensive racket and slightly heavier than the normal Cab 20 SP.

Pls do give it a try.

    Best of luck

Um...May i have a question for you. Are you strong? I mean if you're not strong enough getting a stiff racket has no point you will in fact get weaker smashes out of it. Maybe you should try the cab8300 or something like that.

No, I am not a very strong player, that's why I want to change racquets. the 880 is too stiff.

880 is too stiff? Than the cab23 is not a good choice for you! Thats quite stiff as well....same with the cab 10 tour. Try out the cab 9 tour. Thats more flexible and has good control. Power out of it should be a lot better than ur 880

OK May, I don't think you should opt for a heavy racket either since you'll just get tired, I don't really know any flexible rackets but you can try the cab8600 or tiSP SA, or maybe the carlton airblade 1000 i know the last two aren't cabs but i think they might work for you.

Extra power do come with a price. If you are not strong enough, I suggest you to try a 3U version of any powerful racquet.

Since you prefer Carbonex, there are limited choices out there. Otherwise, you may also try ISO 900 SS/SR (Ti SP SS/SR are almost the same).

    Re: CORRECTION

May, I have been playing with a Cab 8300 for a year and while it is a decent beginners racquet, there are definitely others out there with a similar shape and feel that are more powerful and have a better touch.

Have you ever heard of Pointfore racquets? Their website is:

    http://www.pointfore.co.uk/index2.htm

The central headquarters of the company is in England, but I'm not sure if they are distributing in Asia yet. I demoed their top of the line racquet, the Premier, a few months ago and while it was lighter than my Cab 8300, it is shaped very similarly to the Cab line of racquets and had a similar feel, but with more power. Pointfore sponsored a tournament I played in this past Saturday and I demo-ed their 5000 racquet for a bit more time. It is about 5g lighter than the Cabs, is similar in flex to my 8300 and is more head heavy, resulting in a whole lot more power than my Cab 8300 with equivalent or better control as well. A friend tried out their 5500T2 model and said it was even more powerful than either the 5000 model or his old Cab 20 and that he was probably going to buy one to replace his Yonex. If I didn't have a Carlton AB 900 on its way, I would probably have bought a Pointfore. It was a very easy transition from a Yonex Cab model to one of the Pointfores.

You might also try one of the Carlton racquets. The AB 900 has a reasonably flexible shaft (actually a bit more flexible than my Cab 8300 but a stiff head.

    To May

Find a club in Singapore and see if you can demo all these racquets. My friend just bought a racquet based on the advice of the people in this forum and he's not too impressed. His arm is hurting big time from the Ti-7 because it's too stiff for him. Buyer beware!

    Re: To May

Are u sure it's because of the racquet being stiff or because of a different balance distribution. Besides, the power should come from wrist movement which raises the suspicion of ?poor technique.
