Use the current shoes and choose a better time to switch to a different shoe.......it takes a while for myself to adjust to new shoes.

I fond Yonex do need a while to break in because the soles are a bit ridgid, hi-tek are fine as they just seem so elastic.

Other brands i can't comment on but the shes will loosen over time so it might not be a good idea to play with them in a comp as they might be a bit too tight and restrictive and in the end hurt your feet.

Stick with the ones you wear at the moment and then change.

If you still have several days, and really want to use the new shoes, you can consider a "rush" break in method. Wear the shoes when you are in your house. Walk around in your house, and wear it even when you eat dinner or watching TV. However, don't wear it for hours straight, as it will make your feet feel tighten up. Consider wear it for 20-30 min, then, take it off for 15 min, and take a break. Then, put it back on again...

It's not the greatest idea, but better than nothing. ;)

No, that LazyBuddy's idea is good. At least for me, it works fine enough, it makes new shoes more comfortable even without actually "using" them, just wearing them when you walk indoors in your house makes the adjusting process much faster. Don't tie the laces too tight while wearing them elsewhere than on the court though.

I use the method in order to apply to a smoother 1st "acutal break in" process for the time I actually play with it.

when i first had my yonex Pro-97, i thought i paid the wrong price for the shoe as initially i do not feel confortable in it. In fact, my feet hurts after wearing them for less than an hour. However, when i broke them in, it's the best shoes ever. Just feel that i need to share my experience about yonex shoes :p

I recently bought some Adidas Stabil 6's, and i found that on the first wear my feet became very hot and the left heel of my right foot.

But on the 2nd time of wearing i found the hot feeling to go, and the left heal of my right foot to only hurt when i first put on the shoe.

Been very good so far, by the way, does it really harm the grip of the shoe if you wear them outdoors, just for say 2 minutes from the car park to the Sports Hall.
