im using a carbonex 21 sp, strung with bg-65 at 24lbs. its an ok racket but i like the feel and weight of the mp 99 and the ashaway mp 990. my budget is about $100 aus for a racket because otherwise i can get an mp 990 for $70

In Mong Kok, if I am correct, only Racket Shop is selling SOTX rackets. E-78.com also is selling this brand, but only carries some models and not nearby the Ladies Market.

    For Lightsmash,

What Forestyoung mentioned are definitely the right shops to hit. I can second the opinion that rackets in HKG are generally cheaper than in SIN, but not by much (so donot set your expectation to high). You may manage to shave off about SGD10-20 max if you are really good in bargaining.

Another thing you may want to look at are those brands that are not commonly found in SIN, such as Le Flanche/Foza/Kimano/Kason etc. (Personally I think Kason is one of those value-for-money alternative).

    For Jaicee,

My understanding is Racket Shop is the only agent in HKG dealing with SOTX. Many other shops do not even know this brand at all. In terms of the range of SOTX available, it is definitely more than the sole dealer in SIN. By the way, many of these shops are just on a adjacent street (Fa Yuen Kai) to "ladies street" (Tong Choi Kai to be exact).

To bad I wont be back to HKG for a while, otherwise I would be more than happy to bring you guys around for a racket shopping trip.:)
