    It's April Fools today tomorrow....

    MEN'S SINGLES

Lee Chong Wei vs Park Sung Hwan -- shouldn't be a problem for the in-form Lee.

Chen Yu vs Boonsak Ponsana -- expect a tight match and I pick the Thai to win.

    MEN'S DOUBLES

Hoon Thien How/Tan Boon Heong vs Hwang Ji Man/Jung Tae Kuk -- a good victory for the young Malaysian pair. They will continue to rise under Rexy's coaching. They might yet again surprise, although I pick the Korean pair to win.

Choong Tan Fook/Lee Wan Wah vs Luluk Hadiyanto/Alvent Yulianto (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- tough to pick...nevertheless, I hope the Indo pair can win this match and go on to win their first tournament in almost 1.5 year.

    WOMEN'S SINGLES

Wang Chen vs Jiang Yanjiao (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- not an easy match...and I pick Wang to win.

Chen Li vs Kaori Mori -- similarly I pick the more experienced Jap to win, although I won't be suprised if it turns out to be an all-China final yet again.

    WOMEN'S DOUBLES

Lim Pek Siay/Joanne Quay Swee Ling vs Chien Yu-Chin/Cheng Wen-Hsing -- the more experienced Taiwanese pair to win.

Pan Pan/Tian Qing vs Du Jing/Yu Yang (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- Pan/Tian is definitely on the rise....but the more experienced Du/Yu will win.

    MIXED DOUBLES

Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir vs Zhang Wei/Yu Yang -- a tricky tie for the world champion...but they are far too experienced to lose.

Hendri Saputra Kurniawan/Li Yujia vs Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thungthongkam (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- Sudket/Saralee should prevail against the the CG bronze medallist. Hopefully both my favorite pairs will meet in the final :D That should set up yet another thrilling final.

I agree with everything except for MD, I'm going for HTH/TBH to win given their confidence will be on a high.

:D Malaysia Youngster always shock you one time only, after that no more exciting game from them. Example: Gan/Zakry & Lin/Tazari.
Don't expect too much on them.
For me, the only pair can reliable is Choong/Lee.
KKK/CCM ..... errrrr....... not in the top of world yet?

This is a very important match between them. It probably will increase their confident when meet at TC. I believe both of them will be the 2nd Doubles at TC.

Rexy has really done something in the MD department. We can see a lot of improvement from four youngsters lately, eventhough the consistency remains questioned. For MS, we see the danger here: only LCW is reliable based on his current form. WCH may retired in a year or two, KBH has to justify his world ranking (he has not beaten any top players). Hafiz has not found his old day since winning AE. We are really lack of strength in MS dept. now. Hope BAM will do something and bring up more single boys from Rashid's team.

Phew...Nova/Butet is through to the final after a straight-forward victory over Zhang Wei/Yu Yang. Sudket/Saralee also won in 3 sets: 14-21, 21-19, 21-9. So, the top 2 seeds meet each other tomorrow in another thrilling final. My money is still on Nova/Butet.

    MIXED DOUBLES FINAL
Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir vs Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thungthongkam
