If that's the case, skip. Thanks for the info LUKKK.

I don't take much notice of the sound, but BG66S is the most repulsive Yonex string I have come across. However it isn't the most repulsive string I have come across.

It's 0.74 to be precise. Undoubtably conventional wisdom tells you thinner string is more repulsive. Perhaps it is true. But this string gives me enough to not care if there's anything more repulsive.

Compared to Yonex strings at same tensions, this string has a soft feel and perfect for keeping my rather weak arm going for 3-4 hours.

that's true, yonex's thin strings tend to feel stiff. and if that's not your thing I can see why ashaway is a good choice.

from another thread (post #38 of http://www.badmintoncentral.com/foru...767#post365767 ) you said

"My above rationale could well be wrong. However that doesn't detract from the (call it subjective if you so wish) power increase I experienced. Compared to my stance prior to the technical solution, I no longer seek more power as I have too much of it to the extent that nearly 50% of the points I lost are from the shuttle overshooting the opposite base line."

your power seem to comes and goes in cycles huh? LOL

There's no contradiction. Even though my arm is weak, my resultant power is not lacking. I remain the physically weakest, smallest, shortest, and least experienced guy in my club, my power is above average in my club. When I first join the club, my power was also the worst in the club, worst than all the female players there.

If I were to tell you my equipment makes a difference, you will undoubtly tell me I am wrong. So I am not going to argue. I am happy with my set up.

Except I had to go gram by gram, pound by pound, millimeter by millimeter, string by string, racket by racket to find this placebo. Although costly, it certainly is worthwhile. I suggest more people try it.
