I know that everyone has strategies and that it is learned and made up as a player matures but I was wondering what some basic ones are. I know one is to do a net drop and then to clear it after they return the shot. Another is to do a drop and then to smash it after they return the shot. That is all I basically know. So any help?

Strategies depends on level, and game type.

E.G. a good tactic that works for many players, but will never work on good players:

Doubles: Low serve->drive/smash to the backhand side, partner sets up for lift, you set up for weak return.

    Strategy requirements:
    1. Serve allows you to do a good drive
    2. Your partner knows what you intend to do.
    3. Opponent are standing quite a far back.
    4. the server's reaction speed prohibits a good return.

And so on, and so on.

i like this strategy and i often see players do this.

Net it super tight to force ur oponent to do a short clear den smash.
If he/she net back, tap it down if its high nuff.
