Im selling an MP99 on the buy and sell section and a prospective buyer has asked me to make sure on here that the racket is real on here. Obviously I know 100% its real. I bought it from a fellow bc member who takes his badminton v seriously and wouldnt touch a fake. Can someone please confirm.

It does not look like you own this racket according to the auction number provided. As mentioned to others, this thread not for shopping inquires.

Wouldn't it be more useful for potential buyers to know if rackets are definitely fake before they buy them? Kinda a moot point after the fact? I'm new on this forum so I need some education on this matter. Ebay seems to be ignoring the huge problem of all kinds of fake products being sold on their site.

For the inquires, the post should of been written in the correct thread which demolidor pointed out. For owners who own rackets, it goes here.
As for shopping on Ebay, it is best to research this information as it is here on the forum which can give you the advise. However if you are not confident enough to shop on Ebay to to obtain a genuine racket, then it is recommended that you shop at a Yonex Authorized dealer.Last edited by Matt; 12-20-2007 at 06:53 PM.

same serial
I've found a local seller selling the same raquet with the same shaft and cone serial # as listed below. What are the possibilities? The seller is %100 sure its real when he bought it in 2004 in HK. What do you guys think?

I have checked in the information of your Yonex Armortec 800 Offensive shaft Serial:4853446; Cone Date Code:050442SP (date=05 Apr 2004) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its serial no. and date code are legitimate.
However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.
