Hmm with my experience with rackets so far im afraid that your racket is fake. the cone code says it was made in 2008, and i tbelive that they have stop production on nanospeeds (i think) but also for only 100 bucks? that cheap for a brandnew racket, new ns9k are 230 a peice so yah its a FAKE.

possibly the right conclusion, but for probably the wrong reason. afaik, the NanoSpeeds are still in production and will be for some time (they are the 2nd 'latest' model behind the ArcSabers anyhoo). 100 is too cheap for a brand new racket unless he is sponsored by Yonex and reselling them at close to cost or sponsor price, then there are other issues to consider (e.g. breach of contract?). imo, the reason for this racket possibly being a fake is that the shaft serial is out of whack - this one is 3748033 but should be around the 7xxxxxx mark for a 2008-production racket. leehsim will confirm this for you.

Hey, those sellers who say their rackets are OEM/Clone are the semi-good hearted sellers... It's a tip-off for those in the know ie THIS IS A FAKE!
I do wish they would stop using the word clone. It makes life difficult for the average Joe who does not know the difference between fake (A racket painted as a Yonex but not made/associated with Yonex in any way) and clone (a racket which is painted to look like a particular Yonex model, and claims to have similar chacteristics but is branded under their true brandname ie APACS, Fleet, Tactic etc etc).
I'll buy a clone anyday....but never a fake.Last edited by klc28; 12-08-2008 at 04:49 PM. Reason: phat fingers...
