I have checked in the information of your Yonex Muscle Power 18 Serial:8938506; Date Code:241164AS (date=24 Nov 2006) to my information list of Yonex rackets Developed by Yonex Japan (on the shaft) and made in Taiwan (on the cap), its serial no. and date code are legitimate.

However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.

Sorry not clarifing things well enough, I have bought it off ebay and soon after suspected it could be fake, I am new at buying badminton rackets and was unaware of how many fakes are out there! It is in the post, he didnt put the serial number properly on the item but I emailed him and he give me the full serial number

It's counterfeit. Pug is a well known counterfeit seller on the forums.

Assuming you did not pay him - report him to Ebay.

If you did pay, you can still report him to Ebay and also inform the payment company about it (ie. Paypal).
