I know, but it means, if the serials are added to the massive list in this thread, then Others can find out if I try and sell the racquets, or if someone else buys some with the same serials.

I KNOW they're real. Its for the benefit of others.

Your title seemed deceiving with the phrase "Hopefully got me some Genuine Yonex now! ". I guess you could of word it as Leehsim, add this!!

I have checked in the information of your Yonex Muscle Power 40 shaft Serial:5691507; Cone Date Code:190853JP (date=19 Aug 2005) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its serial no. and date code are legitimate.

However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.

Default Yonex Nanospeed 9000X serial no. check please

    Hi LEEHSIM

---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8----
racket model: Yonex 9000 Type X
    shaft serial: 3716525
    cone code : 272031SP
source : ebay seller I believe.
price : Not certain but well below current UK price of around £120
---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8----

I restrung this racket tonight at a tension of only 22lbs on my 6 point machine, just before completing the crosses the frame cracked at 8 o'clock.
I am an experienced stringer and could not believe my eyes.
On closer examination I have reason to suspect it may be a fake.

1.It does not have a Yonex hologram sticker on the cone.
2.The Yonex name on both sides of the cone is just a sticky label & not transfer printed.
3.The padded case has 1 side printed upside down as compared to a typical Yonex case.

Unfortunately I have not been able to find out who the seller was as yet, only that it was from Ebay and only cost between £30 & £40 in the UK, about 1/3rd of the Yonex retail price.

Leehsim, could you please check the serial no. etc for me please, the date code seems incorrect !

    Thanks

    It's fake because:
    -Too cheap
    -Obvious physical errors
    - Date code reads "27th day of 20th month, of 2003" No such thing as 20th month, and NS9k wasn't in production in 2003.
Serial number too low for the corresponding date code.

I don't remember how much I paid for the racket, it's been a while ago, and my bro-in-law was the one who purchased it. Total price is probably about US$ 150 or less I think.

Thanks ATHELETE1234 you have confirmed my suspicions about the racket and the date code which made no sense. As you say this model racket was not in production in 2003 !

    Appreciate your prompt reply.

This thread is for people who own rackets. Not people to do shopping inquires. Those belongs in a different part of the forum.

Technically we should not be answering this because this is a shopping inquiry. You get a free pass-go this time. It's counterfeit.
