you can turned the subscription off by
1. go to settings (on the top of this page)
2. go to general settings (left hand side)
3. find the messaging and notification
4. Default thread subscription mode: (click the drop box and change to) "Do not subscribe"
5. at the bottom of that page, click "save changes"


it might be better to wait for demolidor to answer your question as it is close to the real one (and I don't want to say it's genuine if I'm not 100% sure of it)
