Just a thought, but isn't this thread a perfect place for the counterfeiters to gather information about legitimate serial number / cone code combinations for different raqcuet models? Think how much easier it will make their job... =/
If I posted my Windows serial key somewhere like this, I would be sued by Microsoft the next minute!

Additional points to add, I have checked and inspected the racquet visually and all the logos, laser-engraving etc etc (as per the BC forum advices) ... Barring the missing grommets (about half disappeared!!) and minor paint chips, it checks out alright, so just need to verify the shaft and cone codes.

One more peculiar feature (to me) - the end butt cap, "Made in Taiwan" was written below the YY logo. First time, I have seen it although I hvae read somewhere that racquets "Made in Taiwan" used to have that before 2010 models.
A friend of mine mentioned that TESCO (in Malaysia) has a policy and a section for "knockdown" prices for items that are left unsold for quite a while, slight damage or near expiry date. Well, guess, I just "rescued" a YY Nanospeed 100 for USD10

Where do I activate my rackets?

But obviously your concern has been raised more than once in the past and here we are many years later and still > 99.9% of fake rackets have incorrect serial codes. As a counter argument from the past: they can do the same thing by entering any racket shop
.
Also there is no specific combination for a specific model. It is not like one week they produce ArcSaber 7 and the next week some ArcSaber 10's. So as long as you buy from official yonex dealers, the rackets should have come through the official distribution channel and should be genuine ...
And each combination of racket model+shaft serial+cone code is unique so if a fake one has a logical combination there should also be a genuine twin out there at which point you can always still compare the physical difference which will always remain.
Obviously it can be difficult to tell from just some pictures online before you buy it which is all the more reason to keep caution when you find some amazing deal on eBay or some other "wholesale" seller from China. Not that hard to use pictures of genuine rackets for an advertisement and ship a fake one out the door ...
