I don't know about the shaft serial as I think this is a made in China one?
but sports direct is Yonex authorised dealer.. so you should not worry about the authenticity of the racket

The main reason I posted this is that I'd never heard of the name of my racket before (Yonex Nanospeed Alpha X), and after searching online, I still couldn't find any more information. And yes; it is made in China.

There's no racket that is produced in 2002 that's also produced in 2012. Every racket is produced for 4 years at the max, so there's really no problem.
