from the pictures and the way the seller describe the rackets, I am pretty sure it is counterfeit

well, you didnt even post what model it was. The NS9k comes in to models S or X. the seller doesn't list either.

The shaft serial and one code of your Yonex Muscle Power 25 was verified valid via Post #6336.
I have checked in the information of your Yonex Muscle Power 10 light Shaft Serial:1688492; Cone Code:230784SP (date=23 Jul 2008) to my information list of Yonex rackets Developed by Yonex Japan (on the shaft) and Made in Taiwan (on the cap), its shaft serial and cone code are legitimate.

However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.
