well, you are wrong
that is not the way to read the cone code:
12 07 1 2 FR
12 july, 2011, (ignore the 2) for France distribution
IMO, this racket should be fine
this one should be fine
Central sports is Yonex authorised dealer, it should be fine
even though it is very old, IMO, it is fine
this one also should be fine
the cone code and shaft serial are as expected
but wow, 150 USD, that's cheap

Cool! Thanks, Avenger! For pricing, probably it's the exchange rate though
(HKD 1,100) but the bag is not the arc saber bag

hmm.. the number is really new (as expected for arcsaber 10 premium)
I don't have the data, but IMO, it should be fine
you might want to open a new thread with some pictures on it (butt cap, shat serials and cone code area, PBSI logo, t-joint area, frame and the bag)
you know, adding source makes your life and my job easer
stadium sports is yonex authorised dealer in Australia, so it should be fine
actually this thread is not for ebay inquiry
however I will tell you, this racket is a FAKE racket
first it is way too cheap for JP racket (JP racket would cost you around $200-250)
second the shaft serials and the cone code does not match
third, JP (Japan) code racket in HK? yeah, def a fake one

It seems like only the obvious fakes get responses.
Is there actually a method of checking if the racket is fake or not from the manufacturer ?

Besides that authenticator (which I don't think is sold to the general public), you can't really tell. You can easily determine if a racket is fake if it has obviously bad serials, but even if the serials are plausible, it could still be fake because fake rackets can easily have reasonable serials added.
Li-Ning does offer a website where you can input your serials and it'll tell you if it's legit or not, but 1) serials can just be copied off other rackets and 2) people can (already have?) figure out the algorithm and just stick the serials on there. Even though the website tells you if a code has already been entered in hopes of preventing #1, that doesn't help if you bought the racket secondhand from someone who presumably could have checked the authenticity themselves.
Also, after all the serials' main purpose is for the manufacturer to keep track of their production, not to determine legitimacy of rackets, so I doubt you'll find much in the way of checking with the manufacturer. Best way is to only buy from authorized retailers.
