Here's an example of a post (by an owner) that conforms to the thread's guidelines (as in kwun's original post - required reading for new posters).

Here's an example of a post that looks alright, except that it is in the wrong thread.

In short, this is a shopping enquiry

A few of us have raised a pertinent point:
Shouldn't we try to guard against fakes and fake-sellers?

The answer is: Yes, we should.
But should all that be here, in this thread?

Quite a few of our members have diligently collated a bank of information which they are now using to reassure owners of genuine Yonex racquets. It'd be very very inconsiderate of us to post away from the purpose of the thread. By doing so, we are forcing those members (like leehsim, for instance) to wade through dozens of irrelevant posts just to find the posts eligible for verification. That's certainly not being nice to those who are volunteering their time to help strangers like us

Rather than redefine frequently repeated positions, let's make it simple:
This thread is for owners to verify the genuineness of their racquets.

Other enquiries related to planned, cancelled, botched or future purchases belong to the Market Place.

I have checked in the information of your Yonex Arc Saber 7 shaft Serial:7143418; Cone Date Code:180972SP (date=18 Sep 2007) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its serial no. and date code are legitimate.

However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.
