I'm kind of set on getting either AT700 or AT800DE. I already have an MP100 and AT500. My question is, I'm going to get two racquets which do you think will be my best bet? 2 AT700 2 AT800DE 1 AT700, 1 AT800DE
2 of either of those would be better, not the third option anyway. It's never good to have a different racket as your secondary racket. Anyway, I'd recommend AT700. AT500 is very much like AT800DE, whereas MP100 is more like AT700. Decide which one you like more.
AT700 n AT800DE Hi fishmilk, It depends on yr style of play and yr preference. I f u are single player n aggressive type, then AT 700 will be ideal as for AT 800 DEF is meant for double. Both are good rackets. AT 800DEF will give u a better clearance and defence. Better to try first b4 u decide to buy. Lee
buy one, try it out first then if you really really like it, get the same one as a backup. If not, get 1 of each =D
dont be fooled by the "DEF" part of at800 some people it gives actually quite reasonable power... so dont jumpt ot he conclusio that this racket is better for doubles

AT800DE how much power does it lack compared to AT700? AT700, how much manuverability is sacrificed compared to AT800DE? Also in terms of control, which do you think is better?
Definitely swaying towards 2 AT800-DE's. Slowly starting to realize how little a racquet limits my ability to smash. Case and point: Just messing around in practise one day and borrowed my partner's ISO 65 Light. This is an extremely old, entry model headlight racquet. I was smashing comparable to my MP100. I was so shocked I switched back to MP100 but wasn't generating any more power. Manueverability and control seem more racquet related although skill and reaction definitely are important as well.
Whichever racket makes you feel good both physically and mentally. I have Carb8, Carb25sp and recently bought a Nano8000. I know I should be saying something deep and sophiscated regarding the rackets, but I honestly say that besides some minor differences, they are all working pretty fine. FYI, Carb8 is really not as good but it was an old one bought during the days when it was "good" stuff. Carb25 is good all round. Nano8000 feels lighter and stiff and need some getting used to. In terms of play, NEW rackets usually makes you play better!
Got my answer... I don't know how the AT700 plays but my game is more based on control and placement, and I used AT800DE for the last two days and I must say the control is IMPECCABLE.
