i'd like help deciding between armotech and muscle power, maybe look at iso mega frame. nano is too expensive.

i'd like to stay with yonex as i currently play an iso 65 light, with a karakal kushey grip (original grip removed).

i've tried a muscle power, but didn't immediately feel comfortable playing it, unlike my current racket, so maybe i should discard buying an mp.

my current racket is also starting to feel head heavy.

    so which racket?

also what's the intended purpose of each range?

    doubles/singles: both
style: prefer to play at the back in doubles, try to play long and short, smashes & drop shots everywhere
time played: 1 year, then several years break from play, now have been playing regularly for 1 year
    frequency: 1 hour per week

as you only play one hour a week theres probably no point spending lots on a racket.depending on your budget (i wouldn't spend more than £60) i would rerccommend an armortec 150 or 250, or muscle power 29 or 66

    which mp did u try?

i agree u shouldn't buy a great racket due to your frequency.

the mp 100 which is expensive is a good rackt for singles.
but the mp99 is a great racket for both singles and doubles

it was an mp 66. i've tried it once for a knock up. i'll try it again in a game or 2.

what are the criteria for one racket being good for singles and another for good doubles etc?

there is no specific criteria for a racket being good at singles or doubles or smashing or defending. it is all down to personal preference, yonex say that a good offensive racket will be stiff or extra stiff, some people say head heavy rackets are better for offensive but i prefer using a headlight racket to attack. if i was you i would try out as many different rackets as you can and then decide which one you like the most. i wouldn't reccommend the mp99 or mp100 because 1. they are expensive adtwo they probably won't benefit you.
