One piece string on Yonex?

Hello, I gave my racket to Brown's Sports for stringing and I got it back with 2 knots instead of the 4.

I was wondering if the one piece stringing method is harmful to the racket.

My racket is AT 800 DE 3U G4 and the string is BG 80.

I've had this happen before I think but last time it was Jennifer from Lee's Badminton and she was a pro stringer so I don't know if it will be bad for the racket

Thx cooler but the string job for me is at least decent. Racket head seems fine but they didnt do the 20/22 I asked for

Its hard to tell but the strings weren't all nice when I got it. When I banged it on my knees a little, it seemed better.

I was wondering if the one piece string will be bad for the racket.

if that was your 'lucky' experience, imagine the result if you got a regular or not so lucky string job

Haha. Never going there again, their customer service is terrible. I'm juss gonna drive another 15 mins to Yo's but Yo's isn't too friendly as well :P

At least Yo's gets the job done nicely.

I'm assuming the 2 knots won't be a problem on my racket's performance?

Here is my "thought" on one piece or two pieces stringing:

I usually string one piece for close friends. For other customers, I usually follow the manufacture's recommended stringing practice of either using one piece or two pieces stringing, to the T. Personally, I use one piece.

I don't find either one to be significantly affecting racket performance or bad to your racket. It all depends on the stringer's competency. If they are not competent, either stringing method will be quite detrimental to your racket.

Jayes: I agree 100%. Unless someone specifically asks for a 2-piece, I do a 1-piece, this includes for myself too. With the 1-piece, I always do the first two cross strings at the main string tension, then on the third cross to end, I got 10% higher in tension. This has worked very well for me.

When I go to my stringer at the local shop, the people there always do the two piece stringing method. The main reason for this is because of the warrenty and they are an authorized Yonex dealer.

Yes, for Yonex rackets. But not all people have/use Yonex.

I always do 2 piece stringing using yonex pattern whether people have yonex racket or not. I have no complaints so far.

I always string the way Yonex requets. No problems this way, and besides, I think it's better to stick with one way, you'll get faster, than having different ways.
