This is a request for owners of this stringing machine to post high-resolution photos for the fanatics to admire . You know who you are . . .
Not high resolution but hopefully good enough. If you want true high resolution pictures or some other close-ups, please advise.
sexy pics DinkAlot. that's a lot of spare strings you have in that box AND the reels to the left of the machine. Geeza!!
Yeah, just some miscellaneous string: ~100 packs of MMOA Titan 0.68mm ~75 packs of Fleet Titanium 0.70mm ~100 packs of True Speed Power 0.69mm 3 reels of MMOA Titan 0.69mm 1 reel of Ashaway PG65 0.70mm
i realize now that i'm not a hardcore badminton player thanks to you. I bow down to the great DinkAlot
Ahhhhh, I see have a true badminton expert here! I bow down. The 940 does not come with spring fixed clamps. I custom made the springs. Well, I should say I found the springs. The distance from clamp to the string bed without the spring is about 1"-1.5". It's no big deal except it's a bit funny when you clamp the first string (clamp will sag because there isn't tension both ways) and takes a bit longer to move the clamp into position from ~1" out. I added the springs (I found from my miscellaneous junk/tool box and they were a perfect fit), now the clamp is only 0.25" away from the string bed. It's now faster and easier to use.
Man, tough crowd today. Oh wait, it's BC, where every day is tough crowd day. Of course I don't just string right up against the wall...I turn off the lights of course.
Dang you beat me to it. Swivel clamp base with spring-action lever. I take it Eagnas doesn't provide the option to replace the Cone Lock with a spring assisted swivel clamp right? Great question MarkInJapan!!
If you do a search, during my hunt for a machine, the Flex940 was an option I was considering, and the only thing that stopped me was there was no spring-assisted swivel clamps. I politely asked Eagnas in a professional manner whether I could have the machine I want with the clamps I want. They totally ignored my question, they replied about other things but totally ignored the question. Then they ignored some other questions I asked as well, and when I sent in an email telling them how disappointed I was about their service, I got back an email telling me that if I wanted the machine to be adjusted in any way, I would have to pay for the parts, and $50 an hour of labour to modify the machine. This is why I never went back to them, well I bought some tools which were of bad quality, but that was it. I know others have had good experiences, but mine definitely made sure I didn't spend a few hundred dollars to a company with mediocre service.
By the way, nice pics Dink, and good job for the mod. I'll be posting mine soon too.And what's with all the string? Do you string for a lot of customers? I would also expect some Yonex strings, but you're not a fan huh?
