Any good stringer in Singapore?
As above, does anyone knows any good racquet stringer that I can collect within the day? And how much does it cost roughly?
Thanks!

Beauty World Plaza (the smaller building just beside Beauty World Shopping Centre). The shop name is Kemin Sports located on the 2nd floor. They string for you between 30 min to an hour. Strings available are Yonex BG 85, 80, 68Ti, 66, Gosen Roots 505 and Ashaway (can't remember the models). Very reliable stringer. I string all my rackets at 27 lbs with no problems.
Cost: BG 66 ~ $12
BG 80, 85 ~ $15
Can't remember other prices but they are all between $10-$15.
Prices include stringing service. They charge about $5 for stringing if you bring your own strings.

Bukit Timah Road. About 500m - 800m from Bukit Timah Plaza. Same side as Bukit Timah Plaza. Slightly after Toh Guan Road. See streetdirectory.com for the map.

Oh yes...
Hi Tony,
Glad to hear such glitzy comments about that humble shop. I've patronised them for some 10 years now. They are among the better ones around really. Tried twice at Queensway, well the string felt sucky even though it was the normal configuration I do over at Kemin. Also tried some shop in Tampines and also Toa Payoh, likewise, not to miy liking also.
And yes, the couple who own the shop are recreational players themselves, so they do know a thing or two unlike many shops who are owned by Tennis and squash players instead.
Another shop which my friend recommends is SAFRA Toa Payoh. Never tried it really, but if he's been playing for 10+ years and he likes it over others, guess he has a reason. And he's very much a finesse player unlike me, I player a mixture of everything, very much depending on my mood for the day.
Usually a racket can be done in under 30 mins to your specification unless there's a long queue or there's some problem with the racket like suspected cracks or unusually high tensions. Mine is typically 22-24lbs and so never an issue.

Another shop that's good is Music Book Room @ Bras Basah Complex, level 1.
Regulars get discounts too.
Oh yeah, Kemin at Beauty World has just increased the prices if you bring your own strings. Now they charge S$7!
Safra Toa Payoh? Hmmm.... must try someday!
I wouldn't try Keat Sports at SBH though, the racket looks bent when stringing.... Byron will know this.
