So who's joining it? I joined this tournament partly because of the different way this tournament is run.. they pick your partner for you. Plus Michael Lee is trying to make it into the Malaysian Book of Records for the largest number of participants in an event or something close to that so I guess that's why my coach kept telling us to join it.

I thought of joining the Mixed Doubles Open category.. but just in case they put me together with a 50 year old guy.. Lol. There were sooo many age categories, ranging from U10 to.. erm.. 60? 70?

So back to my original question. Anyone here joining it? Closing date 20th April I believe.. it's on the 31st April(Sunday) & 1st May(Labour Day).

I went to get the form today and was quite dissapointed as I initially thought that it was like any other tournament. No singles, and No ownself-choose-partner haha. But perhaps it is a new concept and some ppl will have fun, they provide the suspense of finding out who your partner is. The good thing is,you will almost definitely meet a new friend! Anyway for those who are joining, have fun!

Wah joanne. I didn't know you are very hostile to 50 year old men. A lot of members here would be wondering whether you have a hate campaign against them or something ;)

Just go to the Puchong MBA court or Taman Megah MBA court and get the form.

Hehe provided you don't fight with your 'new friend' on court.

Fend.. I have nothing against 50 year old men.. Just don't want to cause them to lose.. :D What if I get an unfriendly partner who orders me around.. :p *Lame excuses* Just don't feel comfortable playing with a strange older man in a tournament. Around my age I can handle lah. ;)

    Hi Darma,
Speaking from experience, some 50 year olds are quite skillfull and are better at setting up strategies... anyway, that's just my 2 cents..hehe

i called a few days ago, a nice lady ( didn't ask for her name) explained that the response for female categories was really really insultingly BA..a.aaD..
but at that time, she couldn't confirm the decision of the organisers.
but reading ur post, i assume they.. they cancelled for all, or..

that day,she explained that they might be a possibility of friendly matches..
    is that the case now?

do u have the schedule? err.. Joanne, do u plan to reply my priv.msg?

err.. so.. no free milo ah? :D

Nice lady? The person who called me was like, "Er, I'm calling from MBA regarding the Muhibbah tournament, what's your name already ah?"

I went.. "Joanne".. then she went, "Oh! Yeah, the tournament is cancelled due to lack of participants," and HUNG UP ON ME without a single goodbye.

I really wanted to take part in this tournament.. Haiz. Looks like I'll have to wait longer.. anyone who hears of a tournament please inform me immediately. =D Itching to join some. The ones I know of will only be held around August.. long way more.

    ladies

    Kawan,
Next time if you want to get ladies to play. Have to be like "Lam Ah Fong" like that. Go to every court which has ladies players and lobby for them to join the tournament. eg. "Eh, you want to join the tournamet or no ah...? Sure win one... very easy ony...".
Need to proactively promote mah... else how to get support?
    rgds:D
