Thanks, malayali. If you don't mind mine asking, is it just me or is the tool tray set a bit low? Is that intentional?

Also, since the machine's sitting on carpet, have you had any issues with it tipping over?

Thanks again for sharing your set up. Anyone else? :)

he he; i never thought about the tray being too low; I dont know why its sitting too low but surely its not intentional; :)
If you notice the picture one of the legs is longer than the other three & that actually brings the stability to the machine standing up.

Fishmilk, thank you very much. I've always wanted to see how badminton racquets fit on a Laserfibre/Stringway mounting system. So, the racquet fits on top of the rollerguides? I guess that makes sense because they're too big to fit in between holes as they do with tennis racquets. I thought they provide a different set of rollers for badminton. Do you feel that the mounting system gives you adequate support during stringing?

Thanks again. Keep it coming everyone, please. :)

ha ha ha; actually i use the same method Dan uses.
I prestring all my rackets which saves me a lot of time (except for the Yonex AT800's & Nanos).

Prestring the whole racket but leaving enough in the middle 2 mains just enough for start tensioning .
& Then I start from the middle main once I am done tensioning the mains, i cut the string that starts the crosses.
I start the crosses from the top of the racket head & finish tying off the final forth knot at the bottom of the head.
I'll try to attach some pictures of the whole process.

The rollers are smaller for badminton, so it's a good fit. They have different ones for tennis.

The mounting system is adequate except that since everything is palstic, there isn't enough traction to stop the racquet from moving when being pulled. This can be fixed with the help of some supergrap in the right places (thanks to Pete_LSD for the tip)

I see where the problem is. The T bars aren't doing any work in pressing against the throat area of the frame!!!

BTW, your tensioning unit is from the TT model without the switch.

The upgrade involves getting an extra head plate to replace the throat plate. The original throat plate works well for tennis and squash racquets but not badminton.

    Badminton Fixed Clamps

I was told from Stringway that badminton fixed clamps are available but Laserfibre didn't tell me. It's essentially the same fixed clamps for tennis minus the two outer teeth.

Yeah I want to get my head and throat plates replaced as well. My headplate only has 2 supports, and my throat is the cheaper one.

I think flying clamps are much faster for badminton though... although I'm considering getting fixed ones for tennis and it'd also be useful for newer racquets where the last few main strings are really hard for a flying clamp to string.

Pete, can you post some pictures of your set up, especially with a racquet mounted on it?

Anyone else? Anyone with a Sensor Expert, Technifibre or ES5Pro. :)
