Default European Championships 2006 - Individual Event - Friday - Quarter Finals

here are my predications for the QF which just started as I type:

    (predicated winners in bold)
    MS:
[DEN] Peter GADE vs. [NED] Dicky PALYAMA
[GER] Björn JOPPIEN vs. [DEN] Joachim PERSSON
[NED] Eric PANG vs. [DEN] Neils Chr. KALDAU (hard to say)
[POL] Przemyslaw WACHA vs. [DEN] Kenneth JONASSEN

    MD:
    [DEN] M.HANSEN/J.ERIKSEN vs. [AUT] J.KOCH/M.LAHNSTEINER
[POL] R.MATEUSIAK/M.LOGOSZ vs. [GER] R.SPITKO/M.FUCHS (the poles are doing really good in doubles)
    [WAL] M.LEWIS/M.HUGHES vs. [ENG] R.BLAIR/A.CLARK
[GER] Kristof HOPP/I.KINDERVATER vs. [DEN] C.MOGENSEN/M.BOE

    WS:
[FRA] PI Hongyan vs. [GER] Juliane SCHENK
[NED] Mia AUDINA vs. [SCO] Susan HUGHES
[BUL] Petya NEDELTCHEVA vs. [NED] YAO Jie
[DEN] Tine RASMUSSEN vs. [GER] XU Huaiwen (just so I will not be boring)

WD: (I will not predict here)
    [ENG] D.KELLOGG/G.EMMS vs. [NED] B.BEENHAKKER/J.MEULENDIJKS
    [DEN] B.ANDERSEN/M.SCHJOLDAGER vs. [SWE] E.BERGBLOM/J.PERSSON
    [DEN] L.KRISTIANSEN/K.JUHL vs. [POL] N.KOSTIUCZYK/K.AUGUSTYN
    [ENG] N.MUNT/J.NICHOLAS vs. [GER] J.SCHENK/N.GRETHER

    XD:
    already played

I think overall the European level is quite good, maybe in few years they can be quite a challenge for Asia.

Danes are 4/4 in mens singles and 2/4 in mens doubles. Not a surprise, but still makes you wonder what the rest of us Europeans do... Furthermore I think Gade won't lose a single set in this tournament.

he might loose a set to Jonassen, especially with the 21pt system.
