Just yesterday, i went to a National Sports retailer (major canadian sports chain) to buy a new baseball glove for the new season, and i just had to see how much more expensive there badminton equipment would be. i thought the rackets were expensive, i took a pack of BG-68Ti and wanted to see the price, it was $39.99 for a single pack.. a SINGLE PACK!!!! how expensive, i can get the exact same string strung at a badminton specific store. what do you guys think?

are you sure it wasnt 3.99$? Because that price is absurd, A string job with bg 68ti only cost 22$ around here.

Yeah those stores are ridiculous. I think sportschek sells BG65 for 14.99. That's not including taxes. You can get it strung for that amount.

Don't Think So The Price Is like that

Wow , I had check the prices you mentioned for the yonex string at SUNRISE malaysia ( MAin Distributor of Yonex Product In MAlaysia )

According to them , if the price for BG-85 and BG 66 is at RM 12.00
it must be imitaion models from china , u may see the different by the packing , i will try to get the photo of the imitation string and the original and compared it then will post it , for all the members to have better knowlwdge of the Imitation product ,

i believe nationals string the racquet for you if you purchase their strings cause last time when I bought a new tennis racquet, the girl said that they string the racquet with the purchase of strings...even though that is it case, the price is still overwhelming...its totally not worth it.
