Default How old to be a Veteran ?

    Hi all,

I have just started playing again in Sydney and I was wondering about veteran status. How old do you need to be before you are classed a veteran. I am afraid that as a 40 year old I may be approaching, or have even reached that status

In Europe, you can enter veteran classes in tournaments at 35. I suspect it's the same in Australia. You're 40, so you're in "second grade", so to speak: the 40-45 age group.

    Holoski,
Where do you play in Sydney? Do you find some good veterans to play with you?

    thanks for the info Mag.

magicinsports, I play at Zealcon in Bexley. It is not a veterans club, indeed I would imagine I am the oldest
Great club though, really nice people.

I play in Taren Point (Sunday from 3:30pm). You definitely would not be the oldest player if you play in our club. We have some younger ones but many more veteran players at different levels. Are you interested to come and play with us?

    Hi holoski,

    In Australia, Veterans = 40+.

But for Worldwide, they call it Masters(or Old Masters, hehehe) and not Veterans. And Worldwide Masters = 35+.

But don't worry... I am sure you can beat some players that are younger than 35.
