Well anyway, it's the "effective hitting area" of the racket, usually in the middle of the frame or a bit up. The sweetspot of a racquet is the center of percussion of the stringbed. It is the area of the stringbed that provides the greatest return of power and the least amount of shock and vibration. In layman's terms, when you hit the shuttle/ball/your brother's head on the sweetspot, the impact feels pure or sweet.
larger sweetspot racquets usually means its easier to use, while smaller sweetspots are harder to use. some say condensed and smaller sweetspots yield greater returns in terms of power and feel when you do strike it. having used both ovals and isos... i kind of agree.
is the sweetspot be affected by the change in the balance point? shall we say, adding some weight on the head.
As far as I know, sweetspot is not affected by racket balance point. Please correct me if I am wrong.
sweet spot depends on head size and shape... correct me if i'm wrong but iso has larger sweetspot then ovals and rackets that have a wide frame like iso 75 MF will ahve a large sweetspot The sweet spot generally speaking is the point on the racket which will give u highest repulsion if a racket has a big sweetspot it emans its more consistent and requries less accuracy when striking a shuttle
Ovals and smaller racket heads have a larger sweetspot percentage. (correct me if i'm wrong on the second point, i'm sure about the ovals though)
