Maybe you are used to heavier rackets.

What I meant was greater swing motion is needed for 6800 to hit the shuttle as far as compare to for example AT800DEF. I used to snap my wrist a lot but that does not help to generate power on 6800.

I know you have both 6900 and 6800 and I understand 6900 is a tad heavier and stiffer than 6800. How do you compare the 2 rackets? Are there noticeable differences over same kind of shots?

for both doubles or singles( which i hardly play), i tend to go for the 6900. 6800 is faster in defense by i think the trade off for power is too much. though 6900 is a bit loer w defense, the power is much more than the 6800.

clears and smashes, 6900 wins hands down.
drives and defense, 6800 only slightly faster.

So does it mean you would not recommend anyone to go for the 6800 but to straightaway go for the 6900? I thought of getting a 6800 to try but maybe now i'll think twice....

Maybe next few month see how....this month no ammo. But then again maybe not since surge say not so powerful...
But i definitely getting used to the "wierd" feel of the RSL Laser 6900, after using it a few times, getting the hang of it and the timing such that i can generate good power. And because of that i have a problem using my previous racquet...looks like i will be stuck with the Laser 6900 for some time...but no regrets....it's really a nice racquet to look at if all else fails.

i won say that. its just my personal opinion. others may feel differently. better you try and find out. one day we play together, you can try them both. then decide for yourself which is better

Just saw her playing against XXF in the World Championships. Seems like she's now sponsored by Forza....as could it be that she has always been sponsored by Forza?
Even the socks in this picture seems to imply that she's being sponsored by Forza....

Watched the World Championship match on TV between Tina and XXF last night. Tina is now sponsered by Forza. During the Singapore Open, believe she was still sponsered by RSL.

I just bought a RSL 6900. It's an excellent racket. Its light and pack some power. I saw a RSL Fire Power T199 but didn't have the chance to try it. 1 thing for sure, it's more expensive than 6900 and without taper shaft technology.
Look forward to the new series, Millenium 7 perhaps? :P

Surge, did u have the chance to try the Fire Power T199??
If yes, how does it feel compared to Laser 6900?
I didn't see the Taper Shaft Technology written on the racket.
I tried to search for some information on that racket on the net but to no avail.
Anyone kind enough to share their experiences with this racket?

i can only say that the racket looks the same as 6900 in terms of desgin but greyish blue in colour. ahven have chance to try and like you, search the net but no such rackets from rsl.
