i guess you are puting the X2 to its limit, would be keen to see how you get on, max i have gone on my previous rackets is 23lb!

The X2 Pro is the 1 for me. Strung at 30 lbs with BG-66 this is truly the racquet for smashing. Awesome. Best suited for doubles play.

maybe you are used to 23lbs. for me, is a bit bouncy. with the X2's technology, 28lbs or slightly more tension shall not be much problem. X2-AP, SP & FP are on medium stiff shaft. tighter tension on stringing shall gives more control from this shaft designed for power, that is what i guess..... if you can generate your own power to shuttle, why not string the racquet at higher tension for control...

I always thought that higher tension for more power and less tension for control, it seems that RSL have changed the old thinking!

we didnt change the old thinking... all the while is the higher the tension, the power generate from string becomes lesser.. lower tensioned-string has more trampoline effect and adds power to drive shuttlecocks. simple test, from a fixed height, drop a shuttlecock on hard solid floor, see how high is the shuttlecock bounce from the floor. now, place your racquet on the floor, with your toe holding it down(to stabilize it), drop the shuttlecock on the string bed. does it bounce higher? try this to different tensioned-string. check out the results. i guess that you are changing the way of our thinking... hehehehe. so, how is you RSL racquet and string performing to you so far?

MY RSL at 23lb is excellent so far, i have been a yonex junkie for years but when i was given the dimond series for a trial, i was a immediate convert, no going back to yonex again, i'd like to upgrade my racket to a newer RSL model and any help to make my mind up would be apprecaited most!
    cheers
