Just curious as to what happens at other clubs in the uk and elsewhere with regards to team selection in league clubs? What are the different methods employed? How are captains decided (if there are any)? Also, for any captains out there, what do you look for in potential players? I'll start off with what happens at our club. We usually have a pre-AGM at which various things including captain nominations are gone through (in some cases the captains are decided pretty much before the AGM). Captains then have final say who they want to be in the team. Higher team captains get to pick first (obviously). Also, has anyone ever experienced a situation where for example a 2nd team went up and a first team came down, effectively swapping divisions? What did the club do, who chose first etc?!
