sometimes when were losing point when hitting stupid shots i start playing safe shots, but sometimes if everything is landing in but they are getting point from smashes, i start going crazy offensive and not let them smash.

Singles or doubles if im loosing I will try and clear my mind, try and get a smile back on my face and not be fustrated with myself. It is a mental game also and if you cant function there properly then you have screwed yourself over.

I agree with __Lam, you have to start playing safe. Start focusing again. I remember a few games ago I was playing singles and I lost the first game because I wasn't focusing on the game but what's happening off the court. When we started the second game, I assure myself nothing was more important than winning the game then work my concern to the stuff off the court. Doing save shots a few times is kinda rewarding. It gives you a few seconds to rethink and of course focus

I personally cannot play when I'm not focus or if I'm hungry :D

If you watch tennis at all you will see the perfect example of focusing before each point by watching either Miss Sharapova or Mr. Nadal....both players use a set of prepoint moves to reconcentrate. Sharapova puts strands of hair back behind the ears and then bounces the ball 3 times....Nadal pulls his socks up....you should have something that you use to trigger concentration....maybe straightening the strings on your racket (which is what I always did and have carried it over to badminton)....everytime you do this it should be done along with the thought of concentration on the next point...

when im losing, i try to play it safe and that sometimes lead to a longer rally or defensive rally on my side, and try to make the oppenent make mistakes so i wouldnt have to.

I do things also to trigger my concentration, or actually, to distract my opponent, like sometimes when i'm down 4-5 points I pop my collar up, or start jumping to get the juices flowing  and also put out another badminton receiving stance

Back to the topic, i would slow the game down when i am losing.

This enables me to buy more time to think of a new strategy.
