FIFA World Cup, Germany 2006 & Shoes BargainOriginally Posted by chris@cccHi Fuji & BadFever,

I just watched the match, Australia 3 : Japan 1. What a Pleasant Surprise!!!
Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie Oi Oi Oi !!!
BTW, just to inform you two and everyone@ccc,
GREAT SHOES BARGAIN suitable for Badminton.
At the FILA outlet, 260 Nicholson Street(corner of Johnston Street), Fitzroy, you will find 3 models of Tennis shoes suitable for Badminton. The bargain is they are selling them at half price.
The 3 models are selling at $65, $98 and $108(their normal prices being $130, $196 and $216).
I went there this afternoon and bought myself the $65 model. And I thought they were really excellent.
And Hi LilyC,
Big Exam Day tomorrow.
Wishing you GOOD LUCK... from everyone@ccc

Hi LilyC, good luck with your exams and see you soon.
What a time to have exams if you're a soccer fanatic!
So much sports to watch, so little time on hand...

FILA shoesOriginally Posted by chris@ccc
So have you bought your shoes from Yonex yet, with the info that I have given you?
If not, you might consider FILA. The one that I bought is the FILA Terra. You can obtain more info from this link based in Canada.

Chris, do you remember the model of the other two fila shoes that you did not buy? As i would like to look up reviews of them on the internet.
From picture on the website, looking at the bottom of the shoe it does seem they should last much longer than the yonex shoes.
I am still looking at a 2nd pair as my yonex power cushion 99M won't last another 6 months. I still have power cushion 55 though.
Maybe for the same amount of money ($100), i will buy power cushion 89.
Besides, chris have you seen hi-qua shoes? They are quite similar to lower version of yonex.

FILA shoes: The other 2 modelsOriginally Posted by hkhung
I don't remember the names of the other 2 models.
But you can phone the FILA outlet from where I bought my shoes. Their number is 03-9486-0390.
Just ask them for the names of all the 3 models of tennis shoes they have.
Regarding hi-qua shoes, I do not like the pattern of their shoe sole. Below is the required link(based in USA);
Personally, I only like soles with smaller "herringbone" pattern. I believe that the smaller "herringbone" pattern gives the best traction.

Welcome in advance to CCC Badminton club. Hope you can be a regular player and BC members. I think we have enough players to suite your level (A,B,C,D,E). We also have enough ladies if you are into mixed double.
Oh, one last thing though, if you want to play with Fend, you have to fly to Perth. And beware he a Pro.
See you on the 23rd.
