    Hey Fuji,

For navigation, a FrapprMap is better.

    http://www.frappr.com/glenwaverleybadminton/map

Red tombstone is where it's at. The slider thingy zooms about the centre, double click on the map to recentre view.

    Hi DoublesPlease,
You're right. The picture I have attached is only good if someone is going by helicopter...

    Hi yschin,

I like the way you describe... the "rubbery" body movements of Lee Chong Wei.

Yes, he is definitely very nimble, agile, flexible and rubbery. hehehe...

And yes please... if I can have your DVD matches too.

    Hi Apollo

Fend and I met BadFever, Kim, Hagane and Maz during the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in March. Fend as Kevin has hinted hails from Perth and Maz is from Sydney. I am from Singapore.

So unless you visit Singapore, we may not be able to have a game together. But I'm sure Chris and his group will be most happy to have you join their very active, well-managed and up-and-coming club.

Hope to hear more from you or through Chris.

Question 1-piece vs 2-piece stringing pattern

    Hi Chris and everyone @CCC,

I just went to this new stringer to have my racquet restrung. My old stringer uses 2-piece stringing pattern (4 knots) but with the new stringer, he uses 1-piece (2 knots).

May I ask if anyone has any opinion on which one is better?? I know Yonex do recommend 2-piece (4 knots) stringing pattern and hence can have a different tension with main and cross. I've only played once after I have it restrung and can feel more vibration when I smash and my backhand's now gone flat.

    Thanks in advance,

    Andrew

Default Tonight is Session Number 9, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

    Hi everyone@ccc,

Tonight is Session Number 9, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

On arrival you will find that our Attendance Book is divided into 2 separate pages, one listing Club Members and the other listing Casual Visitors. The listings are in alphabetical order.

We will still welcome friends of yours or anyone new to join us tonight.

To Date: Out of the 58 players, 16 have become Club Members.

We will again be asking players to join our CCC Club Membership, as discussed in previous posts; $5 per session for Club Members, and $10 for Casual Visitors.

Players are reminded to print your Membership Form(as I have sent ATTACHMENT to you) and fill in your details before you attend tonight. Players without printer can fill in our printed forms when you arrive.

Today I will not be out coaching, so I will be reading mail.

As usual, we are going for supper at Kingsways, Glen Waverley, after our games tonight.

    Cheers... chris@ccc

    Hi Andrew,

I don't find any different in 2-piece and 1-piece stringing in terms of playability. If you read through the "Stringing" section of this forum, some people claimed that 2-piece will last longer. This, you have to experiment yourself cos my smash is not powerful enough to break any string at the moment, whether it's 1 or 2-piece.

However, I find that by increasing the tension, I can feel more vibration and I need more power to get the shuttle to the back of the court.

    Thanks BadFever.

I guess this is all up to personal perference and might need to experiment a bit to see which one suits each individual. I did restrung my racquet with the same string and tension, only different stringer and method. I'll play with it more and tell you what I think.

    Cheers and see ya tonight.

    Andrew

    Chris & Fuji,

World No. 1 & 2 meet in the final tonight. LCW needed 3 sets to beat Boonsak but LinDan disposed off compatriot, the exciting 2 times world junior champion Chen Jin easily. Double final, all Malaysians affair .(as reported by BAM website this morning - reliable ka??)

Kompang Badminton ,Samba soccer , Socceroossss...goal, goal, goal, smash, smash, smash.

    Thumbs up Go LCW.

Hi fellow badmintoners (if there is such a word) ...

M'sia Open 06 men's final with LCW and LD is a dream final.
Hopefully LCW can do a hat trick...
Malaysia Jia You... Malaysia Boleh... Malaysia Go Go Go...

I wish I can attached some sound clips of me screaming my lungs out when/if LCW wins... But Chris may have a long time downloading them...

    Cheers,
    Fuji
