Can Malaysia win a title in the Badminton World Championship 2006?

Did you know that Malaysia has yet to win a title in the Badminton World Championship since the tournament's inception in 1977?
But Malaysia has the best chance this year, not only in the Mens Singles but in the Mens Doubles as well.

Hi Kevin, I'm sure your bad fever has gone and never returned as you've been enjoying good badminton and good company. Is your doubles partner, Kim, the great friend we know from MCG days? I've not heard from him in the forum for a long time and wonder from time to time how's he keeping. Has Kim enjoyed enough of his premature 'reitrement' and has now gone back to making himself buzy?
Do keep us posted and do keep up the good work with Chris!

Hey Loh, good to hear from you again. You have been pretty active in the other threads and I have read all of them. With current Melbourne weather, 'badfever' has turned into 'bad freezing'.
Yes, Kim is the one who's been driving you and Kong around during MCG. He has decided to go all up again with his new job, working 6 days a week (sometimes 7)....crazy boy. At the rate of his work, the next time you come to Melbourne, Kim will probably drive you around with his new Porche. *** Just kidding, Kim ***

Kevin, it's great to know that Kim is enjoying his new job and showing such enthusiasm. Do keep an eye on your buddy on the court and remind him not to overwork his knees again. Our thoughts are with you all down under. Happy Badminton!

So we might get a record attendance.
I thought I should warn you, so that we are prepared with enough MAGNETIC NAME TAGS for everyone.

I hope we are not going to scare off DoublesPlease for this coming Friday system that he promised.

Hi ,our Taiwanese friend , a little history for you...

That is perhaps why most M'sians play badminton and are so proud and passionate abt it (eh! that is the only sport they are good at
- lawn bowling is not doing too badly internationally lately too).
I remembered when I was in the stadium for the M'sian Open once, I noticed in the Royal box one ex minister's wife was cheering madly and has to constantly adjust her wig from falling off.

Hey,
Doesn't pay to take your eyes off the thread for too long. Things are progressing on schedule: the elves are busily hammering away and have staked a week's ration of elf juice on meeting targets.
As for sufficient name tags, I have 20 magnets to my left and a small fortune of casino chips to my right, add a little middle earth magic and that should do the trick.
I'll demonstrate how things work on the day.
