Today, I have sent 3 ATTACHMENTS to CATS trainees; namely the Address/Map of our Venue, the CATS Enrolment Form and the CATS Program.

Our Wednesday CATS will commence on 26-July-2006.

Our CATS Session Time will be from 7:30pm to 10:00pm.

Hi andrewlyw,

When we are using the MAGNETIC BOARD this Friday, you don't need an arranged partner.

It is a "Picking of Any 4 Players" system.

Peter will explain to all this Friday, 21-July-2006.

To LilyC: Shall we continue our partnership as from last Friday, 14-July-2006?

To all others@ccc: DoublesPlease said that, under the MAGNETIC BOARD system, you and your fixed partner can pick on and challenge any other partnerships during the session.

If all this is confusing, please come earlier on Friday so that DoublesPlease can explain it to you.

Friday night, 21-Jul-2006, is our CCC Session#14, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

To Date: Out of the 79 players who have attended our CCC @Glen Waverley, 24 have become Club Members.

We will again be asking players to join our CCC Club Membership, as discussed in previous posts.

Players are reminded to print your Membership Form(as I have emailed ATTACHMENT to you) and fill in your details before you attend.

Players without printer can fill in our printed forms when you arrive.

Special Vistors: 4 trainees from CCC @MSAC will be visiting us. Please give them a friendly welcome.

CCC Handicapped Competition: Participants are asked to;

1. Organise yourself with a Doubles Partner earlier before the night.

2. Inform us of your Doubles Partnership earlier, so that our MAGNETIC BOARD can set up ASAP.

3. Note: When the attendance is low, Singles Competition will be played instead.

New Announcement(s): In this session;

1. DoublesPlease will be explaining and introducing to us the new MAGNETIC BOARD system.

2. I will be explaining how our Wednesday CATS & Social Badminton will work together.

Special Note: We found that Andrew-W was absent. And we realised that he was looking/asking for a partner in our thread during the week but he could not find one. If Andrew-W thinks that he need not come because he has no prearranged partner, then he is wrong. He can still attend our session without a prearranged partner. He can still choose a partner before the session starts, because there are many other players coming without prearranged partners. It is just that players without prearranged partners get to start their matches later since they have to organise for their partners at the start of the session.

Special Thanks to Peter-L: We want to thank and congratulate Peter for introducing the MAGNETIC BOARD. It was a success.

There are a few things that we can do to make the MAGNETIC BOARD system more efficient, and they are listed below;

The MAGNETIC BOARD is to record players' names only, but not their handicapped points.
Players' handicapped points are to be recorded on the SCORE BOARD.
The team who is at the top of the MAGNETIC BOARD is the team to draw score boxes on the SCORE BOARD
The winning team of a match is the team to update the handicapped points on the score boxes.

Last night, with 11 teams, we played 46 matches, compared to 50 the previous week. However, I think a few matches were not recorded on the SCORE BOARD because some members were unsure how to do it.

Next Friday, Peter and I will explain to members who are still unsure of the system.

Suppertime: We had 3 new supper members attending, namely Chiranthi-M, Sinyu, Paul-R.

Discussions @Supper:

Fuji was supposed to attend supper and to miss the playing session, but he did the opposite.

Chris reminded players that it is best for players to partner players around their same skill levels.

Chiranthi wanted to know where she can buy Prince badminton rackets.

With Chiranthi & Ken, we talked about Sri Lankan food, cooking, restaurants.

With Sinyu, we talked about how Overseas Students can share their cooking skills.

BadFever & Jason-C said the brand, Sea Lion(we used for the night), is still the most durable brand of shuttles.

Peter & Yih Sheng talked about surnames(family names).

Paul-R said how BadmintonCentral is good for communication between badminton players.

Personally, I enjoyed it just as much as the Handicapped system!!!

Hehe... I guess the hard bit was the come up with a "team name"... That really got me into thinking!

I do apologise for not turning up last night. Let me assure you all it's not due to the fact I can't prearrange a doubles partner. It's just I felt sick when I got home after work, I put that down to the food I ate for lunch.

I'll make sure I'll be there this coming Friday night.
