    ManyOtherTopics-tht-R-oso-relevant

I put the Thread Topic as "female Players unite'',coz i tot it'd be nice for women players to put their thoughts/opinions tgther without having to bore the other very obvious majority male players of this site.

    there are so SO many topics that we can discuss here... eg;
    1. the proper clothing; esp for those who sweat a lot.. how to prevent from showing err..*too much*, #chowkong#?
    2. ideal length of shorts, how short is too short?
    3. sleeveless shirt?
    4. how would u wear your hair, (in whatever length)
    5. would u put on minimum amount of make-up; colored lip-balm-(i see before k!!)?
    6. would you change your soaking-sweat-wet sports attire despite the inconvenience facility provided?
    7. do u feel shy when male players just take off their shirt in -front of you as if they are your grandfather, ur 'linpeh'?
    8. how would u react towards those VERY veli chauvinistic male partners while playing?
OH!! such exciting discussion impending to take place!!
errmm... actually the main target of participation of this thread,,,is ... ahem, ideally female players lar..
but if,, err..kalau tak laku.. then anybody can just type away their contribution lar...
    anything is better than nothing..:D

    *closure*

seeing that this thread is going to die a natural death..
this might be my last 'closing' post.
    sigh..
i guess there aren't many female badm.players cum forum contributors..
or maybe.. er.. they just don't like me.. :crying:

    anyway, sigh...
through my observation in the badm.courts, the female players i see weekly; do lack the sportsmenship spirit.

Please, i'm not making a general statement, im just saying that the female players i encounter during my regular games; they... seem to sit around more than actually play.
and it's so so so hard to get them to get up and join me for friendly games with other female players...
 ... i always wonder.. why come if your intention is to refrain from getting tired or actually SWEAT...?
ppl,, male or female,,, please .. EDUCATE me.

    ladies

There are some ladies players near Gombak school Monday and Wed I think. 7pm start. 4 courts there. Quite nice group of people.

Thursday evening taman megah, I think there is a lady who is a former national player playing for a bank there.

Perhaps you can ask the viewers to see if there observe any ladies playing around. Perhaps then you can join in. I guess there are not many ladies who are into the net.

    actually hor,
those questions posted much MUCh earlier..
were just thoughts that came randomly in mind..
they are NOT NOT my main concerns of badminton lar!!

like i said in my intro part of this thread.
I just wanted to create a nice little thread for Msian social Badm. female players to interact.. talk non-serious matters albeit about badm.

U know, i 'kena' from those badm.players/uncles from my court last Tuesday.
I was chided for not being serious and not focussing on the game.
    They were right.
i hate it when they are right..
ah.. so much to learn... :p

.... perhaps u mixed with the wrong uncles...ha ha ha..
For me, badminton is a type of sport. A game which all can enjoy playing with another player. From there, you learn the skills to play, and slowly develop in it. Being dead serious doesn't mean you'll improve in the game. It'll only stress yourself mentally...that's a terrible torture, man...why take the game in the 1st place..

What is more important is how you feel about the game and enjoy the moments of playing instead of trying hard to be the best of all. That's how I play. Enjoy the game ^^;)

hey,, i really need to explain that these 'uncles' are really great friends of mine.... because..
    1. they were the first ppl who had generously/ patiently allowed a dumb amateur player like me to join their male dominated court.
    2. they really were very patient with me
    3. VERY VERY patient
    4. taught me a lot
and i must emphasized that They were right. about me not focussing on my game last tuesd. I'm actually flattered that they even bother to tell me.

I've really got a lot to learn.
and im happy badminton is teaching me. :)

    Choosing the right group

I disagree with you. I seriously think that the attitude of one is important when joining a group. If you are a casual player, you should look for a group of players who just play for fun and do not emphasize on winning. On the other hand, for those who want to improve it's advisable to play with those who take the game seriously. You're right by saying it's more stressful. But that's how you can improve your game. The pressure can drive you to perform better and win games. This is really from my experience as I've played with both types of groups. Just ask yourself which kind of players you are before joining the suitable group. Another important point to add. If I'm playing a competitive game, I wouldn't want my partner to take it easy and lose his concentration. It's really frustrating cos you're doing all the best to win and your partner just isn't pushing hard enough. I would rather lose a serious game (whereby everyone are pushing hard to win) than winning a casual game.

aik.. i cakap seorang diri lagi...
    nver mind lar..
really had a good badm. day today.
while resting with jwcalvin , we were very impressed by this family members who were playing, age ranging frm 8 - 70 years.
the most impressive part? all of them were of the good standard.
i commented that the little girl must have been playing badm. since the day she began to walk. :D

later tonight, i went to taman megah for a friendly game.
much to my great fortune, there were an alumni of female state players there.
it was so amusing to see these ladies beating the crap of those men!!
ah!! the great pride of women!!
    :p
