    Hey guys,

I used to play tennis but stopped cause of a sports injury. Want to pick up badminton cause it seems fun and it's less strain on the shoulders. Just wondering if you have any recommendations for a good beginner racket.

    Looking for:
    - good control and accuracy
    - light
    - 100 CAD or under

I'm mostly a recreational pllayer so dont really need REALLY expensive stuff. A friend recommended ISO 300 and Carbonex 21. just wondering if u guys have any other good recommendation. thanks in advance~

Yonex MP 23. easy to find at local store, good racquet. then if u can find one Black knight, that one is good too.

also, check around this forum, use the search feature and do you research :)

i think ISO 300 and Carbonex 21 is pretty oudated also heavy. if you got injured b4 wouldn't it be better start of somethign lighter? i recommend iso75,65light. cab 8000light,8200light,8600light or somethign that is 3u from yonex.

I have been playing badmintion for many years and using Cab 8200 & 8600 now, both are pretty much similar but 8600 has a bit more power but just as light and argile. Crashed a few times but not a scratch on them. String it with BG-85 at 22lb and works wonder. The whole package costs less than CA$100. But these are light-headed rackets which are more argile. If you prefer slightly heavy headed, look for ISO65/75 or MP23.

for a beginner/recreational player, try the entry to mid level rackets from the muscle power series by yonex. get any mp model at 3u & enjoy.

Ding! But, I have to admit, Yonex does have one of the best warranty policies (at least in the U.S.).
