Had these on trial since last saturday, both are fantastic raquets...I noticed that towards the start of the trial (same day as i picked them up) i tended to mis-hit the A800DE more than the NS6000, but recently i have been getting more "in touch" with the A800DE and an able to hit it more or less perfectly everytime. Which one should i go for? and which one will last me longer as a beginner/intermediate player? Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
I never played with NS6000, but if I have to choose blindly between AT800DE and NS6000, I will choose AT800DE.
Hi, Which racket would u recomend to a player who is offensive, hard hitter, more repulsive? a NANOSPEED 9000X or ARMORTEC 800 OFFENSIVE? and do u know a website which sells these rackets in brand new condition for a low price? Thnx a lot!
Well, i picked up my lovely new racket on saturday. And had my first experience playing with it (i'd only played with a trial racket for the week before this). It did not go well, it felt like i'd never picked up the racket before and often mis-hit shots and just didn't feel comfortable with it, where the trial racket i felt very confident with and was playing some of the best badminton i've played. Towards the end of the session (2 hours), i began to get more used to the racket and was hardly making any mis-hits, but missing vital shots to keep my side in the game, which im pretty sure i would have made with the trial racket. Is it just it is physically a different racket? could the new over-grip on it have put more weight on the racket and therefore made it not feel like the trial one? or could the fact that i was playing with a different shuttle to the one i have been used to over the past few weeks be a part of the reason?
NS6k and the AT800DE r 2 very different racket, its normal u have some considerable hard time adjusting to the timing cos both would yield differnt swing speed. if u switch them too often in your trail week, u'll probaly be very custom to one and mis hit a lot with the other. give yourself like a few days using each racket only so you have enough time to adpot. Usually everyone will have a preference on a certain balance characteristic (head light/head heavy/even) so buy one that match your own taste will make you happier with yr purchase.
I believe they were the same weight, but the grip on the trial racket was very warn from the many people that used it, so it didn't feel big. On my racket i have a Karakal Super-grip (overgrip) on it, which i believe the trial racket did also, just it was worn in, and obviously the grip on my racket is brand new. Not sure about size, but i think the over-grip i've got on my racket is wider than that of the trial racket because, as i said before, the trial racket over-grip was very worn in. P.S. Cheesy, i was talking about the A800DE i had on trial, and my brand new A800DE i just bought by the way, lol.
yah the grip size/condition will definatly affect the handling/feeling of the rackets but the overall difference in design of the ns6k and at800de itself should be obvious enough making the contribution from the differnt grip less important for the comparing purpose. however one thing u shouldn't overlook would be the actual string and tension on both racket, personally sometimes i find different strings at different tension makes more noticeable affect on game play rather then the racket itself.
