Just bought a stringing machine, and started playing with it. I have read kwun's post "fastest way to string a racket" http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7168 He weaves the main strings first, and then tension them two by two starting from the racket center. My question is How to tension the main strings after the weaving is done? I know that to tension a string, one end of the string needs to be held in the gripper, and pulled to some certain tension. However, after the weaving, there is a piece of string sticking out of one grommet for one side of the racket. I believe that pulling the end of the string won't tension the strings near the center of the racket. That's why I have the above question. Thanks.
you still tension the strings in the same order you would if you had not pre-weaved, but you need to have a left a loop of string at the centre mains so you can get it to the tensioner. there is a thread somewhere about preweaving and some pictures (either from silentheart of dinkalot I think) edit: here it is Question about Pre-stringing a racquet
