Find a sport shop and ask there or forget it and come to Ho Chi Minh where there are literally thousands of places to play and the min. you walk in someone will ask you to join them in a game;)

I haven't been to Vientiane in ages. I actually got a night of badminton in in Vang Vieng one time, though. On the way out of town toward Luang Prabang, there is a big concrete box-like building that houses one court. The man who guides cave tours invited any backpackers to come along and I was the only taker that evening. That was the only time I ever played badminton in South-east Asia.

I hope you find a place, though.

I played in Pakse once. There was a gym just in the shadow of the then-under-construction big, yellow stadium on the main road heading east out of town.

Thank you for the info. I'm visiting Vientiane in two weeks for the first time. I was born there but left the country at a very young age. I heard there are many places to play badminton in Vientiane but where exactly? Now, I have a starting point and will take it from there.
The weather is very hot over there. I'm wondering if any of the badminton club is equipped with air conditioning.
