So, heard a good while back Persson was going to appear on some popular dating show, of which the local equivalent is also a popular watch with some of our national team members and it aired on tv last week iirc
(personally I think it is the most retarded show on tv but hey, different standards for everyone
). Still a hugely missed billboard opportunity/poster child for the BWF/ badminton world
(too bad he wasn't the next Gade)
Here are some clips of it : http://programmer.tv2.dk/dagensmand/...-49405812.html

Just above his belt line his body pokes outwards in a rather strange fashion, like he has a second set of hips

Probably an unfamiliar sight to the forumites (
) but to use the non-technical term they are side abs
(have to admit when I first saw the pic on badzine it looked pretty awkward to me as well
, could use a little more work)
There was one last vid of the ending, spotted HKV, Axelsen, Conrad, Skovgaard, couple more out of the picture ...

Now that we are on the Persson subject, he beat HKV tonight in the Danish league championship final matchup but his team lost the overall battle so are runners up for the year. Score was 21-17, 21-18 to claw back to 1-2 but end result was 2-4 with Joachim Fischer and Carsten Mogensen winning the 6th and final match and clinching the title ...
Jonas Rasmussen also paired up with Christinna Pedersen in XD but lost to Mateusiak/Zieba (winning team).

To me it doesn't look like he could use a little more work after I saw this picture tagged on his facebook after the match you mentioned where he beat Hans Vittinghus 21-17, 21-18?

Anybody knows what kind of knee injury Joachim suffered exactly? Although his talent always shines through, it seems as if he still can't play really pain free.

^It must be. It looks way too awkward sometimes.
Of course he is not the most talented mover, but still a few years ago his all around skills seem to be very promising IMO (Number 6 in the world!).Last edited by Ton-Min-Bad; 10-27-2012 at 07:39 AM.

Glad to see badminton ever so popular in Denmark and the crowd so enthusiastic and supportive. Danish badminton is in good hands since the time of the great Morten Frost (or earlier?),then the great Peter Gade and will continue to be bright into the future. Oh, I should mention the ladies too, Camilla Martin and Tine Baun.

yes but then it's like he just lost the momentum...since then he lost to numerous very very low ranked players...even today...of course everyone first noticed him when he beat Kuan Beng Hong in the Thomas Cup semis when Malaysia and Denmark tied 2-2...he brought Denmark into the final
