The possibility of TH winning Macau Grand Prix gold 2012 is higher since 2nd seed Kenichi Tago lost in the first round while top seed Dato LCW withdrawn. Meanwhile these condition also boost the spirit of other young shuttlers up as well. Come on TH.

Fourteen years ago at the All England Open Championships, an impossibly young and innocent-looking boy announced himself in no uncertain terms to the world, when Taufik went all the way to the finals, and was stopped by Peter Gade, a man at the height of his powers.

Still, that match was a rip-roaring, all-out, no-holds-barred affair, and it showcased the very special talent this boy had. The pattern of meeting, and losing to Peter Gade would be repeated in many more editions of the All England over the years.

The All England for Taufik, was Lendl's Wimbledon.

Peter Gade is gone. And now, one last time this week, the boy-no-longer steps on to court at the AE and I will simply hold my breath. That is what Taufik specialized in, all these years. He just simply made me catch my breath.

The video i have on that match is not that clear, but i still can watch TH talent when he shocked the world during that AE edition and years to come since. He is a talented and innocent looking boy back then.

Taufik will be to me like John McEnroe (tennis) and Aryton Senna (F1) - temperamental GENIUS with unbelievable skills when their winds blow !! They don't win a lot but when they do .... with style and awesome displays that burns into memory !!

This is what I see of them as well. Obviously, LCW are trully badminton athlete/sportsmen which are trained, drilled, engineered to constantly play and win straight-forward full-stop, while TH on the other hand is rather called as a badminton artist who doesn't consistently fight for the victory but I think he has successfully made badminton matches to be something more beautiful, more interesting and more artistic for us to watch.

There are always be this kind of athletes from the other side of the line without any logical reason can really explain how could they exist but only say a "raw talent".
