Singapore Strait times (23 may 2006, PP H13 | sport) announced that Taufik, Sony and Simmon will play in Man single while Nova / Natsir will be in XD.

Same news carried the announcement of Peter Gate (MS) and Jens Eriksen / Martin Lundgaard (MD).

So far no news about Malaysian and Korean Team.

Anyway not too bad for the spectators despite no top guns from Chinese Team. ;)

I happy to see Taufik's name on the list as I thought he may not be available to defend his title. I'm sure badMania, kemana and our other Indonesian friends are too. But am also sad not to see Zhang Ning's name, last year's women champion and a favourite with Singaporeans.

Also will be missing are Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei particularly. Even if they need to concentrate on the World Championships in Madrid this September, it is still many months away. Therefore it is good to see Peter Gade in action again.

Anyway, the competiton remains tough and we should be able to witness some very exciting matches.
