I saw somewhere that Hendrawan was once coached by TSF. How about other Indo MS? Joko, Alan Budi Kusuma, Arbi, Ardi, Taufik, Marleve, which of them were under TSF?

Hahaha. I think he came to China pretty young? Like before 20? So maybe he was coached by those who came to China earlier, like Chen Fushou, Wang Wenjiao. Or maybe he and Hou Jiachang, Fang Kaixiang, etc just self-coached.

I'm almost positive Joko and Arbi were. Because I remember I heard a commentator mentioned it once.

    Don't know about the others.

You forgot one guy that had the best one-time performance, Ji Xinpeng, beating Taufik, Gade, Hendrawan in a row, all in very good form.

I think he used to coach the men's doubles ... under his wing were Li Yong Bo and Tien BingYi.

Dont think the current batch of chinese players were coached by him. But the last batch, yes. World/Olympic champions like XXZ, Ji Xin Peng, Sun Jun is coached by him.

When Chen Hong won 2002 AE he was the coach watching him play, as with LD (whom CH beat in that QF). He did however take a back seat from MS after WC03 where he trained the MD for a time before retiring.

Tang Xian Fu began coaching the Chinese team in the late 70's. Not entirely sure but he might have coached initially Han Jian, Luan Jian, Chen Tian Long. Later in early 80's he became the ladies coach - Liu Xia, Zhang AiLing, Xu Rong, Lin Ying, Wu Dixi, Han Ai Ping, Li Ling Wei, etc..

In Indonesia he coached among others, Eddie Kurniawan, Alan Budi Kusuma, Ardi Wiranata, Joko Suprianto, Hermawan Susanto, etc. After Alan B Kusuma and Wiranata successfully won the Olympic gold and silver in 1992, Tang Xian Fu swtiched to coach the ladies doubles - forgot the ladies names

Back in China in 1997, he coached the men team - Sun Jun, Chen Hong, etc which other people here already mentioned.
