I can't believe there has been no postings since I last wrote something back in June 2008!! Man ppl will think our club has closed or something? NO it hasn't closed and there are about 30ppl that turn up late last year (probably as Monash closed for a couple of weeks hehe!)

Hey Ash if you are even viewing this thread anymore, is badminton on this Saturday 24th January 2009 at 8pm ???

I missed playing at Southern Star tonight Toni had a dinner to go to and so I was left with my little baby

    Hi Robbo77,

Yeah we restart social badminton 2009 this Saturday 24th January at 8pm. The cost is now $9 per player as the cost of shuttles have increase so much. I will have to try to find some cheaper shuttles but with similar qualities as our sealion brand.

Just got back from Southern Star and it was quite busy (about 30 people but about 6 left at about 9.30pm). Quite a few from my Wednesday night Kilsyth competiton showed up to play as well. I just got off the plane today from Malaysia and had to have a hit. I got new shoes and racket and had to try them out.

    See you on Saturday.

    Ash

An unconfirmed rumour going around is that if you come to badminton this Saturday Ash is going to give you a luck red package

Freshly expelled industrial carbon smog, warm autumn acid rain, bogans in trendy fluoro leopard leotard .. these my friends are all internationally recognise icon of a progressive civilisation .. and we’ve got plenty of ‘em.
And what’s down there on the east side, Ashs and Carls galore AKA geriatrics … maybe in eighty years when I retire I might move down that way J, and typical old Ash you forgot to list the place to play ... :P

There is one simple reason why players in the West come all the way over to the East to play. The ONLY place to play in the West is Altona, unless you want to travel to Ballarat. Vien, you regularly travel to the Eastern side to play but I don't remember carloads of people driving to Altona for social badminton (except our yearly trip to the Ballarat competition)

Thats because old people get anoxia if they travel too far
I only drive down there to burn oil and increase carbondioxide in the air ... i believe global warming is a good thing .. nobody likes cold weather

P.S. It maybe too late now, cause its Friday now ... BUT YOU STILL HAVENT LIST THE SOCIAL PLACE YET .... Ash !#@#$#^%

Hey vienb, alternatively, for next Thursday you can follow the link below and contact a few strangers to play at Altona/MSAC. In case if any are "suitable", maybe you can also invite them over to Saturday night.
    Good luck!!
