hi all, i have been wondering i just recently got my 99 restrung with bg 80's at 23x25-->the string bed should be pretty stiff, but i was pressing on the string wiht my thumb after a game because it feels really soft....then i find out that the string bed is really soft, well not really soft but feels more like a 18x20-->? could i go back to the store and ask? or how can i make sure? because before i string at 1 pound higher on the down strings 24 and same with across 25, but it took the strings a month or so of play to loose a bit of tension to suit me and that was bg 65 ti, now i got bg 80's and i thought that the 80's dont loose as much tension?-->so how can i prove it is 23/25, and what can i do if its not?

You can't measure the tension on a strung racket, so there is no way to prove this :(

You can only rely on the goodwill of your stringer. Explain the problem to him, and ask him to restring it for free at the higher tension that you requested.

If he declines, take your business elsewhere.

It's better to use a stringer who has supplies of your preferred string. Then, if he breaks it during stringing, he will just use his own supplies instead.

You can get Bg80 for £3.18 a pack, or £29.41 for a box of 10:

The shipping is free too :)

    Sorry, my bad.

However, CND$12 (US$10-11) is still way too expensive for BG80. Consider other resources. ;)

That's why you might consider shop online, such as MyBadmintonStore, as Gollum suggested. ;)

In Edmonton, BG80 cost about $22 at the local store where I string my raquet. So, it is cheaper in London, Ont. Anyone know what it cost in SportsChek?

The shipping is incorporated into the price. I guess you can say "free shipping". However, if you are able to local pickup, its usually around 10-15% off the listed price :)
