    RSL Classic Tourney is good.

SeaLion blackwhite packing with Red C1101 wording is good. Dun buy the one with C1101 in white writing. Don;t last long in a game. If can find Sealion Gold also goood.
My vote would be RSL Classic Tourney first.

wilson's plastic last pretty long for one bird, but torn after a lot of smashes. i just got some brand new yonex nylon birds. haven't put it to use yet but it's a lil smaller and lighter than wilson.

Those using the ProTech Masterpiece in Singapore would agree that the current lot of shuttles are of extremely poor quality. The tubes being (clandestinely) imported from Malaysia contain yellowing, brittle shuttles.

The PT-10 still remains very good.
But, yes, it's quite a pricey thing

Where to get Sosan shuttlecocks in Singapore? I tried one piece last weekend and love its durability.

    Default Yonex as 50

In regard of what brand, a good shuttlecock should last for 2 game in 21 points sytem. Shuttlecock speed is individual preference. I prefer to play with speed 76 or speed 2(Yonex) in Singapore.

wow i thought the sea lion brand doesn't exist anymore, I've kept one as a fine example of shuttlecock making at its very best. I was given a tube by an uncle from malaysia who said he bought it a very long time ago. Where can I get hold of some? I've looked in Hong Kong but had no luck. If anyone can tell me I'm in UK and want to know the average price as well.

    Thanks

Greetings, I am just a couple of months old to this forum & I would like to know where can I get Yonex AS40 @ SG$24.50 in Singapore? It seems that the prices listed by you are pretty low compared to those I see @ the sport shops/outlets/stores. Do you mind sharing with me? I would like to know, have you heard of SwordFish Shuttlecocks?

That was 2 years old posting by him. I have tried Swordfish before. I bought some from a local seller and sold one away in this forum (if you were to do a search). Durability is good but the feature was too dry when I last bought it. It lasted 1.5 match of mens' doubles.

Thanks for the info. But what is your overall rating for SwordFish Shuttles ?
Do you know where I can get shuttles at lower prices but of a good quality like Yonex AS-40, Pro-Tech T-10 & etc .

I would rate Swordfish the same as Sealion C1101 and that is my personal opinion. As for cheaper alternative to AS40, I have read from this forum that RSL CLASSIC TOURNEY and YANG YANG 300B are about there. It's really up to individual to decide.

For the benefit of those (myself included) who needed to read thru tons of info here to find the contacts:

You can get these shuttlecocks locally in Singapore. Buy some and try them out to feel the differences. Get the right one for your group..
    1) Sea Lion
    2) Chao Pai
    3) SwordFish

My group (now playing in Central region on Sundays) is currently using Chao Pai Red as we feel it can last approximately 1.5~2 games (15pt doubles) per shuttlecock, depending on how gentle we hit the birdie. Moreover, one of our newer high-int players quoted (SMSed) that he "find d shuttle better than many othr brands, it has smooth flight n easier to control. Gd value for moni."
